My Deborah Lippmann/Butter London order finally came in :D Granted, I didn’t wait all that long but it felt like forever because I was so excited & anxious.
THIS has been my biggest polish lemming ever since I started getting into nail polish (1.5 years ago) and I’ve finally gotten my paws on it! It’s Deborah Lippmann’s Across the Universe :”)
I should have layered it over a blue polish (like China Glaze’s First Mate) so I wouldn’t have to put on 4 coats, but I was too excited to try it & it didn’t occur to me. 4 coats (3 coats and a last swipe to cover the patchy areas) is pretty decent for a jelly, but I don’t want to waste it!

My previous mani (here) were starting to wear away at the tips so I decided to try the half moon manicures which are really popular & I love how they look.
I layered China Glaze’s Kinetic Candy over the top and this is pretty much a fail because the half moons look really weird, apart from the thumb! Oh well, practice makes perfect!

Thumb, pointer and pinkie are OPI’s Mermaid’s Tears. Middle & ring finger are China Glaze’s Goddess!
I’ve already swatched Mermaid’s Tears once before (my very first post here) but I decided I wanted to paint my nails it again because I loveeeee the color.
I’ve never tried China Glaze’s Goddess (the gold glitter) though. It’s meant to be worn as a glitter overcoat but I wanted to wear it on it’s own so this is 4 coats. It’s going to be SUCH a pain to remove but I love how these two colors look together!

This is China Glaze’s Shooting Stars layered over Electric Beat, not exactly a new review/post because I have painted my nails with Electric Beat before here !
I saw someone layering Techno from Electropop collection over Electric Beat and I loved it! I wanted to do that too & I was certain I purchased Techno, but I can’t find it. So I used Shooting Stars instead. It doesn’t exactly give the same effect, but I love this combination too.

This is my first scented polish ever, and it’s Revlon’s Mad About Mango. Okay, I have a confession to make. I don’t clean my nails up after I paint them, so you can tell what a sloppy job I did with this. I usually leave them til I take a shower, then all the bits of nail polish on my fingers/cuticles will just fall off. Much easier than cleaning up! I hope the messiness doesn’t bother anyone too much though!
Mad About Mango is a lovely coral creme polish, a really summery color! This is 2 coats and it goes on really nicely! I quite like the Revlon brushes too, they’re of a good size, neither too big nor too small.
It does smell like mangoes too, slightly sweet & artificial smelling but it smells okay. I liked the smell when I first put it on but after a couple of days, it began to annoy me when I put makeup on/scratched my face. Probably not a polish for anyone who’s sensitive to smells!

I decided to do clouds on my nails because it’s been (too) bright and sunny where I live. I would have done a sun too, but I don’t own any yellow nail polishes. Yellow generally looks bad on me!
I used China Glaze’s Kinetic Candy and White on White!

This is China Glaze’s Cyberspace from the Tronica collection! Another of the discontinued holographic polishes I’ve found! I didn’t particularly like this color but I thought I’d get it anyway, because I don’t own many holographic polishes (3 including this, to be specific).
This needed only 2 coats to be completely opaque. It was so easy to apply, as with most holographic polishes I guess? It’s not streaky or patchy and it dried pretty quickly!
I think the color is growing on me too. It’s like a nude, subtle color with a bit of a twist if you take a closer look at it . Definitely something very safe and not in your face!

So I saw the nails that Rebecca Likes Nails did here and I knew I had to give them a shot! They’re incredibly easy to do & I adore the way they look. I wanted to wear them forever but they started to chip after the 4th day or so.
3 coats of OPI’s Tickly My France-y and a blob (I really blobbed it on) of OPI’s Show It And Glow It!

I travelled a longgggg way to get to this place that was supposed to have a nail polish sale. The sale was extremely disappointing but this was the best thing that came out of it! :D
It’s China Glaze’s High Def from the Tronica collection :O It was released early-2011 and I missed it because I wasn’t thaaaaaaat into nail polish then. I thought I’d never get my hands on any of the polishes because they’re so hard to find but I got lucky!
I love this so muchhhh, it’s a blue holographic polish that sparkles like a rainbow when it hits the sunlight! It applies so effortlessly, absolutely no bald spots, brush strokes or streaking ♥ This is 2 coats + 1 coat Seche Vite.

This is China Glaze’s Foie Gras from the Hunger Games collection and I have to say that it’s not as dark as my camera depicts it to be. It’s probably a couple of shades lighter.
It’s a very good dupe for OPI’s You Don’t Know Jacques. I’ve realised that there are quite a few polishes which are very very alike in this shade/color range. And they are (from the darkest to the lightest): Foie Gras, You Don’t Know Jacques, Essie’s Mink Muffs and Chanel’s Particuliere. Some are browner than the others but they really are very alike. If you have one or two of them, you probably don’t need the others!
Foie Gras has such a lovely formula, most of my nails only needed 1 coat to be completely opaque, while I had to add another coat to a couple of nails to even out the color + cover some thinner areas. It’s definitely a dream to apply!
My nails are a little… dusty(?) in this picture, I don’t know why the camera picked that up but that’s not part of the polish at all.
